Duo'd with a tank player for the first time ever in ow2 the other day and felt his pain second hand, from his commentary + forced to play counter-watch the entire time. (I usually play with text chat and vc off for my own sanity, so i really got his whole experience when i had it on yesterday...) and man as a support/dps player i dont envy yall tank players one bit. That shits hot ass.

Also I feel like if I’m a tank or doing the most damage supposed to be healing so I can hold the objective

dont get me wrong, 5v5 sucks but 6v6 just ISNT coming back. its not the same as the sr system, one of the reasons they moved to overwatch 2 in the first place rather than just updating ow1 is because of the 5v5 aspect. the current game is built around 5v5, and if they were to do a huge update and bring 6v6 back, the game would just be ow1 again, which ik blizzard is trying to avoid lmao

People like you that believe the game is balanced are the real problem. This game like many others, has design issues, that will never be solved, a fanbase that points out the wrong things, especially the high elo/pro players, think they know how to design a game because they are good at playing it.

I don’t even get mad at the tank for not counter switching anymore, every single match the DPS and healers expect the tank to play counterwatch while the DPS and healers don’t swap at all, they got a diva? Your team will get mad if you don’t IMMIDIATELY go zarya, it’s fucking annoying

i one tricked ram to masters 1 in less than a week. idk about the other tanks but i know for sure you can play ram into his counters an still win consistently. even against t500 tanks i hold my own with ram (not with any other tank tho)

I know you didn’t focus on the 6v6 format, but it really is the root of the problem. There is quite literally nothing Blizzard can do to fix the counterswapping issue other than changing the format back.

People want to play certain supports there is a huge difference also I think dva is the best peel imo just in this 5v5 set up

You and I have the same mindset on Support. I started as a tank main, but support became my main role bout a year before OW2 launched. I like to queue for both tank and support. But like you said, when it's you on tank, the supports pick the worst options. We had a mercy instalock every game for three days. It's miserable. I usually get so pissed at the constant mercy picks that I wind up queueing just support to guarantee we get at least one good hero selection.

Especially with the DPS passive of 25 percent less healing. Support and DPS can SHRED through you. 500-900 HP can easily be shred through fucking skill orb, anti, hindrance/ stun. as a tank, EVERYTHING hits harder. The balancing sucks, 5v5 is stupid and I want the good off tank days.

My daily routine as a roadhog player: -wake up -realise I play tank -contemplate ending it because i hate my life as tank -load up the game and I get counter swapped -look up listings for a rope

Im so glad my main (Hog) is still pretty good rn, I actually still have a reason to play. There’s been few times tank hasn’t felt horrible to play but at least there’s catharsis in knowing it’s not just me that finds it hard to enjoy.

I knew I started to not like flatts, when it was him and bogur at some event, and all the mf could say was "were so fucking back dude" over and over.
